Active Directory Login

Purpose: When licensed and enabled within the Active Directory, this feature eliminates the requirement for users to enter a secondary login to access the Pentagon 2000 system.

 

Configure Active Directory

For this module to automatically connect to Pentagon, a License is required.

See below few simple steps to apply, an administrator access required for this change to be done, change will apply immediately and no need to restart any services.

 

In the network, Active Directory:

Crate new Group called ‘Pentagon Users’ (Must be the exact description)

 

 

 

Make sure the ‘Advance Features’ is marked:

 

 

 

 

In the user profile, add the new Group ‘Pentagon Users’ in the’ Member Of’ tab.

 

 

 

Go to the ‘Attribute Editor’ tab and update the ‘employeeID’ with the Pentagon user code and the Pentagon company login as shown in the image.

In this sample user code to login is DKD and the user is login to company 1, therefore type: ‘DKD,1’
