ATA Code

Purpose: This menu option provides access to an administrative table which maintains a list of ATA codes (which, ideally, should be based upon the Air Transport Association of America, Specification 100 or iSpec 2200, published by Airlines for America). An ATA code may be assigned to each part master record, component work order, aircraft maintenance work order and aircraft maintenance work order card. The ATA code is used to identify the applicable ATA chapter that covers maintenance of the referenced item and is somewhat subjective. An individual ATA code is used to describe an ATA chapter as defined and applied by your organization for a particular purpose.

Access

This table may be accessed utilizing multiple methods:

1. From the main menu screen:
1. Left-click the Admin button; the Administration Menu window will appear.
2. Left-click Heavy Maintenance-XL Tables List; the selection will expand.
3. Double-click ATA Code; the ATA List search window will appear.
2. From the ribbon:
1. Left-click Administration.
2. Left-click the Maintenance-XL button.
3. Left-click ATA Code; the ATA List search window will appear.
3. From the shortcut menu:
1. Left-click Administration.
2. Go to Heavy Maintenance-XL Tables List.
3. Left-click ATA Code; the ATA List search window will appear.

To add a record to the table, left-click the Add button; the Insert ATA window will appear.

Field Definitions

1. Code field - Enter a unique code for the ATA chapter.
2. Name field - Enter a description of the ATA chapter.
3. Memo field [large field (not labeled) at the bottom of the window)] - Enter any notes relevant to the selected ATA chapter.
