Parts Master Window

Title Bar

The parts master window title bar will always display the word "Partnumber" followed by a colon (:), the part number (and sub-partnumber, if applicable) in brackets [], and the part number description.

Toolbar Buttons

Left-click a button below to open a page related to the particular button.

Add - Left-click to add a new part master record
Edit - Left-click to place the current part master record in edit mode
Del - (Delete) Left-click to delete the current part master record
Prev - (Previous) Left-click to view the previous part master record
Next - Left-click to view the next part master record
Hist - (History) Left-click to open the Part Number History Float Bar
Source - Left-click to open the Sourcing window (link pending)
XRef - Left-click to open the cross reference window (link pending)
Ordr - (Order) Left-click to open the Orders window (link pending)
BOM - Left-click to open the BOM (bill of material) window (link pending)
Opt - (Option) Left-click to open the Options Menu [The menu associated with this button will be different when in edit mode than it is when it is not in edit mode]
Srch - (Search) Left-click to open the Part Master Search Window (link pending)

Cncl - (Cancel) Left-click to cancel changes made while in edit mode [This button is only active while the window is in edit mode]
OK - Left-click to accept changes made while in edit mode [This button is only active while the window is in edit mode]
Close - Left-click to close the window

Header Fields

P/N (Part Number) - Displays the selected part number [Mandatory Field]

SubP [the field (not labeled) to the right of the P/N field] (Sub Part Number) - Displays the selected sub part number [Mandatory Field (if enabled)]

Rev (Revision) - Displays the revision number assigned to the selected part number

Alt 1 (Alternate Part Number 1) - Displays an alternate part number(n) a secondary number (not necessarily in importance, but only in quantity) that can be used to identify a particular part in place of the primary part number in all cases. (i.e. a National Stock Number, or NSN, can be used to identify a part in place of the manufacturer's part number in all cases) NOTE: This field should not be used as a cross reference number

Desc (Description) - Displays the description of the selected part number
